Ershov's navigator · Prostate
Prostate ultrasound, tests and symptoms
Select your symptoms and the findings in your reports. The guide explains their possible meaning and the usual assessment pathway, without making a diagnosis from a single report.
How to use
A finding does not always explain the symptoms
Prostate size, calcifications, 'diffuse changes' or a detected microorganism do not, by themselves, prove the cause of pain or determine treatment. Symptoms, duration, cultures, residual urine and an objective examination matter.
The tool aims to reduce unnecessary anxiety, avoid missing important issues and show which questions to ask a urologist. Antibiotics or other medications must not be prescribed based on website answers.
- First rule out urinary retention, high fever, severe pain and blood with clots
- Enter prostate and residual urine volumes if reported
- Bring the original test results, medication list and symptom history to your appointment
Ultrasound and symptom navigator
Distinguish a significant finding from an incidental one
Select your symptoms and the findings from your ultrasound or laboratory reports. You will receive an explanation of their possible meaning, the usual assessment pathway and a list of questions for your doctor — without a diagnosis based on a single report.
Methodological basis
Verifiable medical communication
The guides explain findings based on current guidelines, but do not give a diagnosis, select an operation or prescribe medicines. Links open the primary documents on which the logic is based.
